This year’s annual instalment in Electronic Arts and EA DICE’s Battlefield franchise is Battlefield 1, due for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC starting October 21st 2016. Not the first instalment in the series as its titled may suggest, it is named presumably because of its well-known historical setting: World War 1.
For the past few months, the companies have been giving away previously released expansion packs for past games Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline, as they continue on their “Road to Battlefield 1“. Whether you still routinely play the former, or at least would like to consider returning to it sometime in the future, you may want to take advantage of their new offer.
From now until September 19th, all five expansion packs offered for Battlefield 4 will be available for free at no charge. This is in addition to themed community missions being offered alongside them. You can read more about the deal at the dedicated “Road to Battlefield 1” website. This deal is valid for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Origin) editions of Battlefield 4.
Developed by EA DICE, Battlefield 4 was first released in October 2013, and up until next month has been the most recent numbered instalment in the Battlefield franchise.
