The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Set For Release Later This Month

-

Nintendo have announced that there is approximately three weeks remaining until fans of The Legend of Zelda franchise will be able to pick up its latest Nintendo 3DS instalment – The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. Set for release on October 24 and seemingly borrowing a few concepts from The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, Tri Force Heroes will see players take control of three Link’s, as they tackle a variety of dungeons which require teamwork to complete. These Link’s tackle puzzles through both player skill and a range of outfits which enable new abilities.

Players can buddy up with two friends online or local multiplayer, and co-operatively solve puzzles in a variety of environments ranging from lava-strewn volcanoes to icy caverns.  Only by working as a team will you be able to progress through the various hazards lying in wait, but for those who master an area, bonus challenges can be unlocked for access to more valuable rewards. Although those using local multiplayer can simply talk amongst one another, those opting for the online route can interact and collaborate through in-game emoticons.

Those who are opting to tackle this journey solo can take on the peril posed by the Drablands by themselves, equipped with a pair of replica Link figures called “droppels”. These come to life on command, and will allow the one player to control each in turn. However, even if you don’t know anyone else with a copy of Tri Force Heroes, Download Play functionality will allow you to link up with anyone provided they possess a Nintendo 3DS or New Nintendo 3DS console.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes takes place in the Kingdom of Hytopia, a fashion-obsessed realm with sartorial elegance is celebrated. An evil with places a mysterious curse upon Princess Styla, casting the realm into dismay. With citizens calling for the return of a legendary trio of “Totem Heroes” to protect them, and King Tuft offering a unique reward for whosoever lifts the curse, venture into the Drablands to hunt down the witch and restore peace and stylishness to the land.
