Square Enix Provide Sneak Peek at Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Patch 3.1 With New Trailer

-

Through a trailer subtitled “As Goes Light, So Goes Darkness”, Square Enix have provided a sneak peek at their upcoming Patch 3.1 for Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward. This video has been shared in the lead-up to patch’s release, which is set to go live on servers starting November 10 2015.

Patch 3.1 is set to include new content to the main Heavensward scenario, which continues directly on from the game’s main storyline. Additionally, adventurers will battle on a haunted vessel in the brand new 24-player alliance raid “Void Ark,” and travel to far-off islands via airship in new Exploratory Missions to unearth rare gear and items.

The Manderville Gold Saucer is also set to receive an update, in the form of a new real-time strategy attraction titled “Lord of Verminion”. There, players will be able to utilize their minions in order to do battle against other players in a 1v1 setting as well as in competitions. This is on top of a number of other additions including two high-level dungeons (Saint Mocianne’s Arboretum and Pharos Sirius (Hard)), beat tribe quests featuring the Vanu Vanu and more

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward is a paid expansion pack for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, released earlier this year. It is currently available for purchase on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC platforms as either a standalone expansion or a bundle containing the original game (required for the expansion) and Heavensward itself.
