EB Games Expo Wraps up for 2015, With Expo Confirmed for 2016

-

Celebrating its fifth ongoing year in Australia and fourth year at the Sydney Showground, EB Games Expo 2015 has concluded for this year. Held from Friday October 2nd until Sunday October 4, more than 36,000 people attended the event across these three days. Those in attendance were granted an opportunity to try out and watch many of the games they will get to purchase later this year, in 2016 and potentially beyond.

Some games which could be played during EB Expo 2015 include Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Just Cause 3, Tom Clancy’s The Division, Rise of the Tomb Raider and more. The star of EB Games Expo 2015 was seemingly ‘Star Wars Battlefront’, which walked away with this year’s ‘Game of the Show’ award.

Some stats from games presented at the Microsoft Xbox booth have also been shared. During the event, players drove more than 8,800 kilometres in Forza Motorsport 6, raided over 2,200 tombs in Rise of the Tomb Raider and took more than 17,000 kills in Halo 5: Guardians.

Although I have never gotten up on stage and actually danced, since the event opened in 2011, Ubisoft have always had the Just Dance stage. Regularly crowded by people, anyone is invited to get up on stage and dance infront of everyone else in attendance. This year, more than 1,000 brave people danced on-stage. During the actual Just Dance 2016 competition held, Denzal Van Uitregt was crowned the Australian Just Dance Champion, retaining the title he earned last year. He will now represent Australia at the Just Dance World Cup during Paris Games Week later this month.

While it seems the event will just be locked to the one venue again, EB Games have confirmed that next year’s EB Games Expo will be going ahead.
