LEGO: Dimensions to Feature Original Voice Talent for Several Characters

-

When it comes to a Film/TV series to video game adaptation, it is often a nice thing to have consistency between voice cast members. That being said, not being able to retain some cast members is by no means a game-breaking issue.  For their upcoming release of LEGO Dimensions, it is clear that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have made an effort with reprising original cast members for several of the characters who appear in their cross-over video game.

From The LEGO Movie, Chris Pratt returns as Emmet, Elizabeth Banks as Wyldstyle, Alison Brie as UniKitty and Charlie Day as Benny, among other talent from the film. This is in addition to new cast members being introduced in the unique LEGO Dimensions storyline including Joel McHale as X-PO and Gary Oldman as Lord Vortech.

From the classic Back to the Future films, both Michael J. Fox (Marty McFly) and Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown) have rerecorded and reprised their roles. Chris Pratt is Owen Grady and Irrfan Khan is Simon Masrani from Jurassic World, along with other members of the film’s original cast. Peter Capaldi is the 12th Doctor, Jenna Coleman is Clara Oswald, Michelle Gomez is Missy from Doctor Who, also joined by many familiar voices from the sci-fi series. Moving into the world of DC Comics, Troy Baker is Batman and Tara Strong is Harley Quinn. Stephen Merchant is Wheatley and Ellen McLain is GLaDOS from the Portal video game series as well.

Members of the original cast of Ghostbusters, The Lord of the Rings, The Simpsons and Scooby-Doo will also be reprising their role in-game, as recent trailers have highlighted.

LEGO Dimensions is set for release on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Wii U video game platforms beginning September 28 2015.
