Earlier this year, Degica released RPG Maker 2003 on digital distribution channels. Serving as a predecessor to RPG Maker XP by a few years, this piece of development software allowed players to more easily create a more retro style of RPG. To be honest, it was surprising that they released this software, and I most certainly wasn’t expecting them to go back any further.
While no official announcement has been made by the company today, the release of the Humble Game Making Bundle has unveiled something very surprising. The bundle offers 90% off coupons for RPG Maker XP, RPG Maker 2003 AND RPG Maker 2000 via the Humble Store.
Debuting after fifteen years in the Japanese market, RPG Maker 2000 can now be purchased via the Humble Store for $24.99 (Considerably less with a 90% off voucher). Purchasing RPG Maker 2000 via the Humble Store will give you a Steam key, however they are currently unavailable at this point in time. According to Degica and/or Humble Store: “Steam keys are pending as of now but are guaranteed to arrive within this week!”
