Omega Quintet – English Opening Sequence Shared by IFI

-

While we are still some time away from the international PlayStation 4 release of Omega Quintet, in addition to their recent screenshot batch for the game, Idea Factory International have also shared the game’s “Iffy-cial / Official” English localized opening sequence.

As this is a game from Compile Heart (Most renown for series such as Hyperdimension Neptunia and Mugen Souls), the opening sequence is about what I was expecting from them – lots of anime style artwork and character introductions. The video also shows brief moments of 3D animation, highlighting the “idol” element of the game’s storyline and concept.

Developed as one of Compile Heart’s Galapagos RPG titles, Omega Quintet is set for release exclusively on the PlayStation 4 sometime this year in North America and PAL regions. This follow’s the JRPG’s original launch in Japan in October 2014.

In a world overrun by a mysterious, malevolent darkness, the only hope for humanity rests in the music of singing idols known as “Verse Maidens”. Wielding weapons of sound, they are tasked with fighting back evil and restoring the world, but it won’t be easy! These five plucky girls – with the help of their manager Takt – will have to give the performance of a lifetime to stop this darkness from claiming the last of humanity. Will they be able to band together and blow this evil away, or will they fight only to discover that the darkness has been lurking within them the whole time…?
