Sony Computer Entertainment Announce Details for Downtime Compensation 1

Are you thinking of purchasing something from the PlayStation Store? You may want to wait until this weekend, with Sony Computer Entertainment announcing they are giving 10% off a single cart for almost everything available on the store (Excluding PS Plus subscriptions, Music Unlimited and Rental Video content).

The promotional code, to be announced on the day, will be valid from January 23rd 2015 at 9AM GMT to January 26th 2015 at 9AM GMT. The discount will be valid for new releases, old releases, indie games, game add-ons, season passes, pre-orders and a selection of TV shows and movies (to own).

This promotion is in response to the PlayStation Network being taken down over the Christmas period, meaning gamers with new games were unable to access any online functionality or even update their games with post or pre launch DLC.

For PlayStation Plus members who were affected by this downtime, and therefore unable to access the services they have paid for, Sony Computer Entertainment have also begun rolling out an additional five-days of membership to your account. They will send out a confirmation email once the extension has been applied.
