While there are differences between the two franchises, both Etrian Odyssey and Mystery Dungeon are considered to be two strong-performing Japanese dungeon crawling series that have stood the test of time.
In an announcement made by ATLUS and Spike Chunsoft, both game universes are set to collide in the upcoming Etrian Odyssey and the Mystery Dungeon. Exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS, this dungeon crawler features the top-down visual style from Mystery Dungeon and gameplay elements from both games.
While more details are set to be announced soon, the game is currently set for release in Japan beginning March 5th 2015.
