It has been some time since we last saw a game released in the Dance Central series, despite strong reviews the more recent instalments (Including on The Otaku’s Study: Get Moving This Christmas 2012 | Dance Central 3 Review). The wait for a new game is now over, with Harmonix recently releasing Dance Central Spotlight on the Xbox One at a cheap digital download price of $9.99.
What you will notice straight away with this cheap price is that it only comes with 10 songs in the original download including:
- Avicii – “Wake Me Up”
- Cher Lloyd – “I Wish”
- David Guetta ft. Sia – “Titanium”
- Jason Derulo ft. 2 Chainz – “Talk Dirty”
- Kid Ink ft. Chris Brown – “Show Me”
- Lorde – “Royals”
- OneRepublic – “Counting Stars”
- Pharrell Williams – “Happy”
- Rihanna – “Diamonds”
- will.i.am ft. Justin Bieber – “#thatPOWER”
It seems like Harmonix have decided to do the same thing as what Sony Computer Entertainment have decided to do with SingStar. Rather than charging people for a disc of 40 tracks where someone might only enjoy five of them, each of the songs can be individually downloaded. Some of the songs available for download right now include:
- Erasure – “A Little Respect”
- Paramore – “Ain’t It Fun”
- John Legend – “All of Me” (Tiësto’s Birthday Treatment Remix [Radio Edit])
- Nico & Vinz – “Am I Wrong”
- Lady Gaga – “Applause”
- Enrique Iglesias ft. Sean Paul, Decemer Bueno, Gente de Zona – “Bailando”
- Selena Gomez – “Come & Get It”
- TLC – “Creep”
- Demi Lovato – “Heart Attack”
- Ini Kamoze – “Here Comes the Hotstepper”
- Icona Pop ft. Charli XCX – “I Love It”
- Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding – “I Need Your Love”
- Ne-Yo – “Let Me Love You” (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)
- Of Monsters And Men – “Little Talks”
- The B-52’s – “Love Shack”
- Maroon 5 – “Maps”
- Emeli Sandé – “Next To Me”
- Maroon 5 – “One More Night”
- Bastille – “Pompeii”
- Capital Cities – “Safe and Sound”
- will.i.am ft. Britney Spears – “Scream & Shout”
- Calvin Harris – “Summer”
- Lana Del Rey – “Summertime Sadness” (Cedric Gervais Remix)
- A-Ha – “Take On Me”
- DJ Snake ft. Lil’ Jon – “Turn Down For What”
With the library presumably to increase in the very near future.
