Development to Continue on Dark Souls II with The Lost Crowns DLC Trilogy

-

Felt like you wanted Dark Souls II to torture you just a little bit more before you wait for something along the lines of Dark Souls III? Bandai Namco Games and developer FROMSoftware have today announced that they will be publishing a trilogy of DLC chapters under the header ‘The Lost Crowns’.

These three chapters take place in original environments and will pit your player character against a slew of unknown enemies, diabolic challenges and challenging bosses that the series has been known for. Crown of the Sunken King, the first chapter in this DLC trilogy, will be available from the 22nd July 2014 followed by subsequent chapters ‘Crown of the Old Iron King’ and ‘Crown of the Ivory King’ on August 27th and September 23rd 2014 respectively.

Crown of the Sunken King, the first chapter in the trilogy, sends players on a journey to reclaim the crowns that Drangleic’s King Vendrick once owned. Crown of the Sunken King features an entirely different world within the Dark Souls II universe, where stepped pyramids span a vast underground cavern. It is said that one of the ancient crowns lay buried deep within these dark caverns; but surely such a valued item cannot sit unguarded. Players that seek adversity and glory will be rewarded with a crown that holds the strength of lords from times long past.

A season pass for this collection is available from today. Check out my review of the original Dark Souls II game HERE.
