Ubisoft Release Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD on Home Gaming Consoles

While we have been receiving our annual dose of Assassin’s Creed for the last few years, due to it being exclusive to the PlayStation Vita not everybody might have had the chance to check out Assassin’s Creed Liberation. Ubisoft seems to have realized this and opted to port it over to the PlayStation 3, Xbox360 and PC gaming platforms, allowing Aveline de Grandpré’s story to be enjoyed by a wider audience.

This release, available digitally, comes with high definition visuals, improved gameplay mechanics and missions. Don’t expect as grand an adventure as the major numbered installments given its original portable console roots, but after being a couple of hours in so far it is still shaping up to be a decent experience at least.

As Aveline, the first playable female Assassin in the Assassin’s Creed saga, players must use their skill, instinct and weaponry – including a machete, poison-dart blowpipe, a whip and duelling pistols – to hunt down and eliminate their enemies on an unforgettable journey from the crowded streets of New Orleans, through voodoo-haunted swamps and ancient Mayan ruins.
