While there is no word on any titles that Idea Factory International will be directly publishing to the international market, the international division of the Japanese video game developer and publisher have today launched their English-language website.
The company has in the past relied on publishers such as Nippon Ichi Software America and Aksys Games to localize and release their titles outside of Japan, with the website primarily showcasing their line of titles and who from they can get their hands on them. The site also features a forum, where after user demand into Monster Monpiece, a staff member going by the username Pirachu stated “We’re delighted to see that there are quite a few people who wants Monpiece localized. We’ll discuss this with the Japanese dev team. Cross your fingers guys”. Who knows, this might be a means of seeing more Idea Factory / Compile Heart releases internationally in the future.
“We are very excited to have finally launched the Idea Factory International website” says CEO of Idea Factory International, Haru Akenaga, “Now, along with the support and help from third-party publishing companies like Aksys Games and NIS America, we can finally communicate directly with Idea Factory fans. I’d also like to extend my sincerest appreciation to our fans for the continued support you have given to the Idea Factory brand”.
Of course, Idea Factory International was not the only company celebrating their website launch. “Idea Factory has been a long-time partner with Aksys Games, and we wish them the best of success with this new venture” said Akibo Shieh, CEO of Aksys Games, “We look forward to working with Idea Factory International and bring truly unique content to Western audiences”.
Ryan Phillips, Marketing Manager at Nippon Ichi Software America also shared “NIS America absolutely loves working with Idea Factory titles, and we are extremely excited to continue to do so in conjunction with Idea Factory International in order to further the growth of the Idea Factory brand throughout the West”.
