To celebrate the launch of the Playstation 4 in Australia this week, Sony Computer Entertainment have confirmed that there will be 300 consoles without pre-orders attached to them available at the official launch event – all available to take home after midnight. Given that waiting lists for the console are now backed up until March 2014, this may be the only opportunity to get your hands on one without a three – four month long wait. DO NOTE that asides from one lucky winner, the other 297 winners will need to pay for the console that is going for a recommended retail price of $549.95 – and is for the right to purchase the console. The most creative entry is also set to be invited to attend E3 2014 in Los Angeles next year.
