Blindfolds and Face Masks to Appear In Criminal Girls: Invitation – New Look at Punishment System Improvements

It was announced by Nippon Ichi Software earlier this year that alongside a Playstation Vita release of Disgaea 4, they would also be porting over an enhanced version of Criminal Girls to the console – under the new title Criminal Girls: Invitation. Most known for the games use of a punishment system, the title sets you in the role of a person who is left to lead a group of sinners to the top of a dangerous tower-like dungeon in order for them to reincarnate. I warn you now that while there is no full-on nudity in this game (At least from what I can tell), there are some aspects of bondage and other things like that which may or may not make some readers uncomfortable).

This Playstation Vita port will feature a new set of scenarios, Live2D visuals (Which they claim will provide a greater level of expression and emotion during punishment scenes), new characters and the focus of this article… an enhanced punishment system. Rather than using the PSP’s controls, you can play the role of punisher through both the front and rear touchscreens. While I won’t write too much into this as I am sure you would rather gaze down and have a look at the images at the bottom of this post, here is a brief introduction of the new features announced.

As announced earlier, rather than the same attire you will be able to unlock a number of different costumes and accessories for your characters to wear including sweaters, school buruma and animal ears / tails. They can be used during the different mini-game punishment sessions, and can become more revealing when they level up. During the game you will also be able to obtain face masks which muffle the voices of a particular character and blindfolds which will have the obvious impact. It seems like the blindfolds may be pre-order bonuses however.

An international release? I would say the chances are slim to nil….
