After a rather lengthly promotional period, ATLUS have today confirmed that Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl has been released in Japan, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS console. This release is set to shift the formula a little bit from previous Etrian Odyssey games which in the past have simply been named I –> IV. While they have retained the classic mode of gameplay, they have also chosen to opt for an expanded story mode that takes players on a journey to unravel the mysterious origins of the Yggdrasil Tree.
The good news is that while the game is now available in Japan, those in North America won’t have to wait too long for a release. A Fall 2013 release date has been slated for folk in North America by ATLUS USA while gamers in PAL regions are left to wait for a company to pick up the license for the regions that fall under this bracket.
