If you have already skipped to this text without viewing the image above, scroll back up and take a moment to appreciate the Limited Edition offering of Nippon Ichi Software America’s localized release of Time and Eternity. A week or two back I announced that the company had the PAL region release slated for late-June 2013, with a release in North America to follow. I can today confirm that North American gamers can get their hands on the title from the 16th July 2013, more than a fortnight post-PAL launch. This might come as disappointing news to some…. but at the very least it isn’t the almost year-long delays certain games have suffered where the tables are turned (I am looking at you Persona 4 Arena).

In addition, the company confirmed they have opened up pre-orders for the game’s limited edition, which comes in at $64.99 and as of this post still has >75% of its stock left. Goodies included in this edition include:

  • Limited Edition Box
  • Time and Eternity for the Playstation 3
  • Full-colour hardcover art book
  • Time and Eternity original soundtrack with jewel case
  • Double Vision tear-resistant poster as an exclusive bonus to the NIS America online store.

Orders can be made HERE.

Time and Eternity is the collaboration JRPG project between Namco Bandai Games, Imageepoch and animation studio Satelight. The aim was to produce a video game that looked visually similar irrespective of if the player was in battle, traversing the world or taking part in a fully animated cutscene.

Kamza, a vibrant kingdom located on a lush ocean island, is in the midst of a national event celebrating the upcoming marriage of their princess to a valiant knight. But when a group of assassins appears during the ceremony, this dream come true transforms into their worst nightmare. As the knight lays mortally wounded, the princess reveals her long-hidden secret—there is a second soul living within her, and together they control the power to travel through time. But can they act quickly enough to reverse the course of history and find out what happened that fateful day? Only time will tell…
