Capcom Release More Information on ‘Remember Me”s Combo Lab at Tokyo Game Show 2012

-

Developed by Dontnod Entertainment and to be published by Capcom on the Playstation 3, XBox360 and PC in 2013, ‘Remember Me’ sets out to be a third-person stealth action-adventure which from previous previews does look quite promising.

At this years Tokyo Game Show, Capcom previewed the games Combo Lab which allows you to create and customise your own besoke combos by unlocking new fighting move memories and combining them to maximize their power. These memories are unlocked as you progress through the game by collecting procedural mastering power (PMP) through defeating enemies and performing combos. The attacks (or Pressens) can be broken down into four different types with their own pros and cons – Regen, Power, Cooldown and Chain:

Regen Pressen – Regenerates health on hit but deals low damage.

Power Pressen – Deals heavy damage and triggers finishing moves.

Cooldown Pressen – Reduces all S-Pressen cooldowns (Consult trailer above) on hit but deals low damage

Chain Pressen – Duplicates the previpous pressen in the chain and doubles its effect.

They hope that the ComboLab will provide a second layer of depth to the game’s combat system, with the goal of encouraging players of all abilities to experiment with different combinations and find the best combo for each combat situation.  The combo lab is accessable via the pause menu at any time in the game, giving you the freedom to change your four combo sequences at any time you desire. Combos are made up of different combinations of skills under the four categories for thousands of different attack possibilities.

For more in-depth details on this system and all its intricacies, check out the above trailer which details everything you will need to know in six and a bit minutes. Also check out the below demo video for the game which was unveiled at this years Gamescom.
