While Australia does have a small but enjoyable bunch of anime conventions, the one thing that we didn’t really have in the past was a consumer Gaming Expo. Last year, major game seller Electronics Boutique (EB Games) changed all that by launching the EB Games Expo… with the inaugural event held at the Gold Coast Convention Center which I had the pleasure of attending. While not reaching the level of E3 with announcement after announcement – the expo served as a great opportunity to play the latest games, socialize with friends about games away from the television you spend hours parked in-front of each day…. and laugh at people who had the courage to dance at the Ubisoft booth.
EB Games have today announced the game line-up which will be featured at this years EB Games Expo at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. Over three days at 25,000 square metres, these are the games which have been confirmed to be appearing at the event:

The Homegrown Gaming Zone will occupy an area all of it’s own dedicated to e-sport, Cosplay, local game developers, gaming technology and pop culture booths, and the new Family Zone will feature kids entertainment, activities and early access to the most exciting family games!
There’s plenty more to be revealed in the weeks ahead, including details of the exclusive EBX Awards, along with some very special guests who’ll be attending the Expo.
Unfortunately at this point I cannot confirm that I will be in attendance at the expo due to potential scheduling conflicts, however do get your tickets while they are still available!
