Acquire who are behind the development and publishing of the Japanese release of Sumioni, along with their recent release of the Ranking and Gallery modes have announced that the game will be recieving a number of FREE downloadable stages over the March – April period. The current total of new stages is 10 and from the below screenshots, do not seem to just be half-assed stages for the purpose of releasing DLC but will come equipped with boss fights and a number of new stage concepts.
This game was released a month ago in Japan exclusively for the Playstation Vita and will be released by XSEED Games in North America on the 20th March 2012.
