The Man from Snowy River in Concert is set to return to Brisbane for a final encore season this September, following an original national tour in 2024. Due to interest, a new matinee performance has been added to the season schedule – bringing the total performance count to three.
This additional session will take place at 1.00pm on Sunday 28 September at the Concert Hall, QPAC. It joins the previously announced performances at 3.00pm and 7.00pm on Saturday 27 September.
The event features a screening of the iconic Australian film The Man from Snowy River, accompanied by a live performance of Bruce Rowland’s award-winning score by the Southern Cross Symphony, conducted by Peter Morris.
Starring Sigrid Thornton, Tom Burlinson, Jack Thompson and Kirk Douglas, the film is inspired by Banjo Paterson’s poem and follows the story of Jim Craig, a young man navigating life and loss in the Australian high country.
Tickets are available for purchase via the QPAC website, or by calling their box office team during business hours on 136 246.
