Ahead of its new tour commencing next month at the Sydney Capitol Theatre, rehearsals are now well and truly underway for Disney Theatrical Production Australia’s new production of Beauty and the Beast the Musical.
With many thanks to the show’s publicity team, we are able to share a behind-the-scenes look at how rehearsals are coming along, and a look at some of the lead cast members – including Shubshri Kandiah as Belle, Andy Cook as Gaston and Nick Cox as Le Fou.
As of writing, Beauty and the Beast the Musical is confirmed to be having its premiere at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney, with tickets now available to purchase for performances from 14 June 2023 until 5 November 2023 – with the possibility that additional performances will be made available in the near future. Prices vary from $50.00 AUD to approximately $195.00 AUD per ticket. Higher pricing reserves could potentially indicate more favourable performance dates or superior locations within the theatre.
At this point, only the Sydney season has been announced, but this does not preclude any future announcements about a full Australian tour in the coming months and years – as is the norm with this producer.
The Australian production of Beauty and the Beast is the next major Australian production from the team at Disney Theatrical Productions Australia, which has recently toured with Frozen the Musical, Aladdin and The Lion King, and it also complements the still ongoing tour of Mary Poppins the Musical.
