Boogie Wonderland Returns in Velvet Rewired, Touring Australia from November 2022

I still vividly remember seeing Velvet when it, in its original iteration, was performed in QPAC’s Cremorne Theatre back in April 2016. While the trip to Brisbane was a long one to see a show half the length of a normal musical, the combination of circus arts, stellar musical performances, and such great synergy between the cast members made it something that has stood out in my mind ever since. Now in 2022, Velvet is being reborn as Velvet Rewired and is set to commence its Australian tour in November this year.

Some of the returning cast include Australian songstress Marcia Hines as ‘The Diva’, with the amazing Joe Accaria returning as ‘The DJ’ and Hula Boy Craig Reid once again filling the shoes of, well, ‘Hula Boy’. Other cast members include Tom Sharah as Country Mike, Pierre and Stef – The Skating Willers as Skaters, Beau Sargent and Harley Timmermans as Aerialists and both Jacinta Guilsano and Sasha Lee Saunders as Sirens.

Velvet Rewired will commence its Australian tour at the Wynnum Fringe in Brisbane starting 16 November 2022, followed by Perth (From 15 December 2022), Sydney (From 22 December 2022), Canberra (From 8 February 2023), Adelaide (From 16 February 2023), Hobart (From 22 March 2023), Townsville (From 12 April 2023), Newcastle (From 19 April 2023) before wrapping things up in Melbourne from 26 April 2023. A summary of all dates and venues can be found below, with more specifics and ticket booking information available via the official Velvet Rewired website.
