Live Australian Broadcasts of Wuthering Heights Taking Place Next Week

Although we are edging ever so closer to a time where worrying about COVID-19 is a thing of the past, there is always that dark cloud looming over the performing arts industry where one or two stray cases may mean shut-down for a long period of time. Furthermore, some people, especially vulnerable audiences may be hesitant about returning to their local or state theatres. Fortunately some of the technologies and approaches adopted in the midst of the pandemic are not going away.

In collaboration with Wise Children and Bristol Ol Vic, Michael Cassel Group (The Australian producers behind Hamilton the Musical and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) will be presenting three online broadcasts of Wuthering Heights. According to MCG, “Australian audiences have the exclusive opportunity to stream this intoxicating revenge tragedy for our time, live from the oldest continuously working theatre in the English-speaking world“.

Viewers are invited to escape to the Yorkshire Moors from the comfort of their home, and experience Emma Rice’s critically acclaimed adaption of the Emily Brontë classic, direct from the Bristol Old Vic.

The three performances of Wuthering Heights are:

Friday 5th November – 7.30pm (AEDT)

Saturday 6th November – 8.00pm (AEDT)

Sunday 7th November – 6.00pm (AEDT)

With each requiring an active internet connection and a ticket per PC or device used to access the stream. Tickets are priced at £20 (automatically converted to $38.00 AUD) and can be booked from HERE. Be sure to read the terms and conditions prior to booking your tickets.
