Queensland Symphony Orchestra Commences 2021 Season This Weekend

Start the year with some orchestral classics and favourites!

After what was a tragically cut-short year for many artistic companies across the country and the world, some in Australia are beginning to get their 2021 seasons off without (hopefully) too many hitches. For the state arts company Queensland Symphony Orchestra, things are due to get things started this year with a one-day two-performance season of QSO Favourites: Beethoven to Bolero. The two performances will be held in the Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s (QPAC) Concert Hall, with a matinee at 3.00pm and an evening show at 7.30pm on Saturday 6 February 2021.

With tickets still available as either an individual show or as part of a 2021 Season package, QSO Favourites: Beethoven to Bolero was inspired by feedback from their patrons around their favourite works (and a few of theirs), taking attendees on a journey from the majestic Allegretto from Beethoven’s Symphony No.7 through to Ravel’s Bolero. Both performances will be conducted by Australian conductor Dane Lam, with QSO boasting it will be “a great concert – whether you are new to the magic of orchestral music or whether you’ve been enjoying it for years”.
