Ready to get in the good books of your Revolting Children?

Looking for a night out at the theatre?

Want to see some of Queensland’s best young actors perform some of Tim Minchin’s fantastic songs?

Following a pre-sale period, tickets to see Matilda the Musical at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in Brisbane have gone on public sale from today. With shows running from December 2nd 2016, you can nab yourself tickets for any of the eight shows being held per week until January 29th 2017. Ticket purchases can be made via the QPAC Website or through their box office.

While their website does hint that more shows will be released for sale in the future, as indicated by there being no listed conclusion date, there is no confirmation if or when these sessions will go on sale. Until then, for those after Premium seating, I recommend checking in the later weeks of December and into January, as the earlier seats were the first up for grabs during pre-sale earlier this week.

Matilda the Musical will be held in the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) Lyric Theatre. Tickets range from $55 – $150 each (Not including a $6.95 transaction fee per order), with seat prices dependent on session time and seating preference. At the moment there are eight sessions listed per week, including three matinees (Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday) and five evening sessions (Wednesday-Sunday).

Official Synopsis for Matilda the Musical

Matilda The Musical is based on the beloved novel by best-selling author Roald Dahl (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fantastic Mr. Fox). It is the story of an extraordinary girl who dreams of a better life. Armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, Matilda dares to take a stand and change her destiny. Featuring music and lyrics by Australian comedian, musician and composer Tim Minchin, Matilda The Musical has proven an enormous success in London’s West End and on Broadway, where productions continue to play to packed houses and capture the imagination of young and old alike.
