After many seemingly successful legs at venues across Australia, Queenslanders are being invited to enter a Boogie Wonderland, with Velvet returning for a strictly limited season at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s (QPAC) Cremorne Theatre. This show, which features some big names in the performing arts industry, is set to begin this evening. Shows will then run for approximately three weeks, with the finale set to be held on May 8th 2016 at 5PM.
Director Craig Hott seeks to take guests into a hedonistic world, which pits dazzling acrobatics against disco divas in a sexy, spectacular, sparkling and slightly sadomasochistic show. Taking the stage will be singer/songwriter Brendan Maclean who heads the cast, and will be joined by an ensemble of talent including muscle man Stephen Williams, hula boy extraordinaire Craig Reid, acrobatic wunderkind Mirko Köckenberger, sizzling aerialist Emma Goh, the sassy sirens Chaska Halliday and Rechelle Mansour, musical director and mix master Joe Accaria and the renown Australian diva Marcia Hines.
Tickets to see Velvet are currently on sale for $59 – $79, with pricing dependent on session and seating preference. Seats are still available, and can be purchased via the QPAC website or box office.
