Starting out with a new monthly comic series, Udon Entertainment have announced that Street Fighter Unlimited #1 can be purchased both digitally (via comiXology) and physically via retail stores starting December 9th 2015 (now). This will be the first Udon Entertainment published comic to have a “day-and-date” digital release alongside the physical book.
Those who choose to pick up a retail copy may find themselves with different cover artwork depending on the store they purchase from. Udon have partnered with several comic and video game stores to provide retailer-exclusive variant covers for this issue. Retailers offering such cover artwork include: Amazing Comic Cons, AOD Collectables, Books-A-Million, GAME, GameStop, Heroes Haven, Newbury Comics, and Strange Adventures.
Street Fighter Unlimited #1 and every issue thereafter will ship with two standard covers courtesy of digital painter Genzoman and UDON artist Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz. Chamba’s covers will all connect to form one massive 12-part image showcasing all the playable characters from every Street Fighter game ever, featuring more than 60 characters in total.
