Unfortunately due to conflicting exam / assignment deadlines around this time last year, asides from a couple of films I was unable to do much coverage of the Gold Coast Film Festival during 2013. This year with a much clearer assignment slate… I hope to bring everyone many more interviews and reviews from this years festivities which will be held between the 3rd and 13th April 2014.
To commemorate such plans, I have today launched the dedicated “Film” section of The Otaku’s Study which will predominantly focus on interviews and reviews on non-Japanese films in addition to selected news pieces on film events around Australia. Films such as Bayonetta: Bloody Fate will still be classed under the header of “anime”, however titles such as opening night film “The Grand Budapest Hotel” will fall under the new “Film” header.
Between now and next month I hope to populate this section with a couple of reviews, so please look forward to them.
