Artbook publisher Udon Entertainment (Who were behind the release of my most recent review “R.O.D Read or Die Official Archive“) have recently confirmed that while there is still some stock available at retail, they have sold out of their supply of “The History of Sonic the Hedgehog” at their level in less than a month. This follows the books available at book chains and online retailers from the 1st January 2013 and comic book stores on the 19th.

When faced with the worldwide enthusiasm of Sonic fans we probably should have known to print more, but the passion with which this video game icon is greeted surprised even us…!
So what does this mean for those who cannot track a copy down but would still like to own a copy? While they haven’t formally announced anything yet, they have stated it is likely they will be reprinting the book this coming Spring/Summer but will have more news on this in the future.
