Special Kid Factory – First Official Trailer Debuts

During a special event coinciding with Anime Expo in Los Angeles, Kasagi Labo and NAZ Studio shared their first official trailer (PV1) for upcoming anime project Special Kid Factory. This is pitched as a shonen sci-fi adventure anime which aims to dive into the themes of identity, courage and mystery.

The creative team of Special Kid Factory is being helmed by many of the names behind Id: Invaded, which created by NAZ aired in Japan in early 2020 to a strong reception. This creative team includes Atsushi Ikariya as Director, Otaro Maijo helming the screenplay, Ei Aoki as Supervisor, Daisuke Mataga as Sub-Director, Yuuki Kodama behind the character drafting, Ai Asari as the main animator and Yasuo Suda as producer.

Special Kid Factory follows Genpei, an ordinary boy whose life is upended when he meets Denshiin—a boy who looks exactly like him. Denshiin reveals a shocking truth: he is the original human, and Genpei is his clone, created as part of a larger, sinister plan.

Mistaken for Denshiin, a seasoned detective, Genpei is swept into a thrilling journey across the galaxy to solve intricate murder mysteries. Their adventures unfold against the backdrop of a dystopian future with “Special Kids”.

Now, Genpei must choose his path: Will he remain a shadow of someone else or emerge as a hero in his own right, solving murder mysteries and fighting for justice in a universe filled with danger and deception?

Commenting alongside the trailer (shared at the top of this article), was Yasuo Suda, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NAZ Studio, who is clearly excited to be involved in this new project alongside Kasagi Labo:

We are thrilled to unveil ‘Special Kid Factory’ and share this journey with our fans. This anime represents a culmination of our passion for storytelling and commitment to pushing the boundaries of anime production. With the support of Kasagi Labo, we aim to deliver an immersive experience that captivates and resonates with audiences worldwide.
