Theatrical Release Dates Confirmed for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero

Fans of the Dragon Ball franchise only have a couple of months remaining until they can sit in a cinema, with perhaps a jumbo popcorn and incomprehensibly large soft drink in hand, and brace themselves to watch Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. The first worldwide release for CrunchyRoll, you will be able to watch the feature-length animated film in cinemas across Australia, New Zealand and other regions starting 18 August 2022 in select venues – with tickets going on pre-sale from 20 July 2022.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will be available in two formats – the original Japanese audio with English subtitles, and a newly commissioned English dub, the cast list for which is below:

Dragon Ball: Super Hero will launch 18-19 August 2022 in a large number of regions including Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Central America, Ecuador, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Zambia, Vietnam. The film will then be made available later in August 2022 and September 2022 in other regions including South-East Asia.

The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Individuals, who carry on its spirit, have created the ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two Androids call themselves “Super Heroes”. The film is being directed by Tetsuro Kodama, with involvement from original series creator Akira Toriyama. The films Japanese voice cast includes Masako Nozawa (Son Goku, Son Gohan, and Son Goten), Toshio Furukawa (Piccolo), Aya Hisakawa (Bulma), Ryō Horikawa (Vegeta), Mayumi Tanaka (Krillin), Takeshi Kusao (Trunks), Yūko Minaguchi (Videl), Yūko Minaguchi (Pan), Miyu Irino (Dr. Hedo), Hiroshi Kamiya (Gamma 1), Mamoru Miyano (Gamma 2), Volcano Ota (Magenta), and Ryota Takeuchi (Carmine).
