Through the relationship between CrunchyRoll and Toei Animation, it was earlier today announced that Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the newest film in the widespread Dragon Ball media franchise, will begin screenings in cinemas in supported regions (including Australia and New Zealand!) from August 2022.
Being distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment, the film will be made available in major countries including North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia &New Zealand, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia – with the exception of Japan who will receive its debut screenings in June 2022. The film will be screened in two formats as is typically the case nowadays with major anime franchises – Japanese voiceovers with English subtitles, and a newly commissioned English dub.
Keep an eye out over the coming weeks about when a cinema near you will receive its first screenings.
