Just like home video releases of anime, many series available to stream via video-on-demand streaming services are also licensed for a particular period by the publisher. Therefore, it should not come as too big a surprise, whether due to decisions of the original licensor or publisher themselves, that as new works come onto the service, some are removed.
Online streaming service CrunchyRoll has today confirmed that dozens of their older licenses will be removed from their website from August 1st.
The rights to many of these works are held by North American anime publisher Sentai Filmworks, so it isn’t a far stretch of the imagination to find these on other official services. But if you are an active CrunchyRoll subscriber, may want to plop yourself down in-front of the television and watch some of these today while you still can:
