Ahead of its home video release in July, Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment has released Studio TRIGGER’s feature-length animated film Promare onto their AnimeLab video-on-demand service for the next 72 hours. Available until 11.00 am AEST on 25 May 2020, the entire movie can be watched either with the original Japanese audio or the newer English dub.
Paid subscribers of the streaming service are invited to hold off watching the film for 24 hours, and partake in a community #ProMareNight Watch Party by pressing play at 7.00 pm AEST / 9.00 pm NZST tomorrow. Those participating are encouraged to share a picture of their home cinema set-up using the hashtag #ProMareNight to be in the running to win some prizes. Promare is the latest film by Studio TRIGGER, the animation team behind iconic anime works of the last decade including Little Witch Academia and Kill la Kill. It was screened across Australia and New Zealand in October 2019 and is due to hit store shelves on DVD and Blu-ray in July 2020.
