Sentai Filmworks Adds Norn9 to Their January 2016 Simulcast Slate

-

Adding to their January 2016 simulcast slate, Sentai Filmworks have confirmed they hold the rights to Norn9, which is set to begin airing next month as part of Japan’s Winter 2016 anime season. Based on the visual novel by Idea Factory (Which has never been released outside of Japan), Norn9 follows a 12-year-old boy named Sorata Suzuhara, who finds himself transported to an alternate timeline – and quite possibly an entire new world. Now aboard the ‘Norn’, a giant spherical ship which doubles as a miniature city, Sorata joins three girls and nine men on a journey towards an unknown destination.

Norn9 is being directed by Takao Abo and produced by Mitsutoshi Ogura. In the visual department, character designs are being crafted by Yukari Takeuchi, who is also serving as director of animation alongside Tomoko Sato. The role of animation production is falling upon Kinema Citrus.

As with all simulcast titles, Norn9 will first be available via select digital video-on-demand outlets, with a home video release to follow.
