Almost simultaneously with their DVD and Blu-ray release of Sword Art Online 2 Part 2 this month, Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment have this evening confirmed that the entirety of Sword Art Online 2 can now be watched with the English dub via their AnimeLab video-on-demand service. As with other English dub’s on this service, this dub option is only available to Premium subscribers who purchase a monthly plan of $6.95 or annual plan of $69.50. Following Kirito’s adventures in the Sword Art Online death-game and rescuing Asuna in the world of ALfheim Online, Sword Art Online II see’s Kirito enter a new virtual world known as Gun Gale Online. Without his usual party members, he is tasked with investigating the mysterious deaths of players in real-life when their characters are publicly killed in-game.
The first season of Sword Art Online was released by Madman Entertainment in Australia and New Zealand across for volumes during 2013 and 2014. Volume 1 of season two was made available back in August, with the second just released on shelves a few days ago.
Synopsis for Sword Art Online II
A year has passed since SAO was cleared. Summoned by Seijirou Kikuoka of the Virtual Division at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Kazuto (Kirito) learns of a series of bizarre murders linked to the popular VR game, Gun Gale Online (GGO). After being shot in-game by a player calling himself Death Gun, two prominent GGO players have mysteriously turned up dead in the real world. As Kazuto logs in GGO and starts investigating the mystery, he meets a girl sniper named Sinon who wields a Hecate II rifle. Is she friend or foe? Kirito enters the virtual world once more for an all new adventure!
