Madman Entertainment Share Unboxing Video of The Collected Works of Hayao Miyazaki

-

Especially given the price attached to both DVD and Blu-ray sets of The Collected Works of Hayao Miyazaki, published by Australian anime publisher Madman Entertainment last month, you would want to have a good look at what comes in the fairly nondescript (at first glance) white box everything is stored in.

The company have today shared their official unboxing video for the Blu-ray set, which highlights: the new cover artwork created for each of the covers, bonus postcards featuring official artwork for each film and the 32-page booklet.

The Collected Works of Hayao Miyazaki contains all 11 major feature films created by world-renown animator Hayao Miyazaki. These films include: Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro (1979), Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984), Laputa: Castle in the Sky (1986), My Neighbor Totoro (1988), Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989), Porco Rosso (1992), Princess Mononoke (1997), Spirited Away (2001), Howl’s Moving Castle (2004), Ponyo (2008), The Wind Rises (2013). The Blu-ray set can be purchased via Madman Entertainment directly or through select retailers for $324.95 AUD, while the DVD set is available cheaper at $274.95.

Those who cannot afford to purchase the entire set but do have a particular favourite film, may find that Madman Entertainment have produced a special boxed edition for it. These large sets, available exclusively via select retail outlets, contain a copy of the film, the official artbook and a couple of extra goodies. Although they have been out for some time now and many stores could be out of stock, there could be the odd copy of Kiki’s Delivery Service, Howl’s Moving Castle or The Wind Rises in-stock someplace.

With all that being said, orders for this set can be placed HERE and HERE.
