Siren Visual Came to Supanova with Two New Announcements

ud11 Usagi Drop Easily Going to be My Pick of the Season

While we have heard of a couple of announcements from Madman Entertainment over the last two days, Siren Visual have also come with two announcements that I am personally ecstatic about! One is of a new acquisition and the other is of a DVD release that I am sure many here would be very pleased about. To start off with, the new acquisition is of:

Siren Visual Came to Supanova with Two New Announcements 1Heaven’s Memo Pad

Narumi Fujishima is an ordinary high school boy who remains isolated from his fellow classmates. One afternoon fellow classmate Ayaka Shinozaki invites Narumi to join the gardening club and introduces him to a reclusive detective named Alice. Alice hires Narumi as an assistant and puts him to work solving the strange mysteries of Angel fix, an illegal drug. Little does he know it could put him and Ayaka in serious trouble.

This has a release date TBC in 2012 but will be dubbed into English as well as retaining the original Japanese dub.

Siren Visual Came to Supanova with Two New Announcements 2Usagi Drop

While attending his grandfather’s funeral, thirty-year-old bachelor Daikichi is surprised to discover that his grandfather had an illegitimate child with an unknown mother! The rest of his family, fearing the obligation and embarrassment, want nothing to do with the silent little girl, Rin. Sensing her imminent abandonment and outraged by his complacent family members, Daikichi decides to adopt her himself! …yet he may have underestimated the difficulty of balancing his work, family, and love life with his role as her guardian.

When it comes to Siren Visual, the one thing that comes to mind is noitaminA, and while the series has only just recently finished in Japan – Siren Visual have announced that they will be releasing the series to DVD in February 2012! Picked as my most promising series of Japan’s Summer anime season, I do hope many of you get the chance to enjoy the more light hearted but heartwarming story that Usagi Drop presents.

More announcements have been hinted at for approximately two weeks time.
