Following their PAL region release of Steins;Gate on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita platforms earlier this month, PQube Games have announced that the science adventure visual novel will finally be making its way to North America. Unfortunately there will be a little bit of a wait associated with this release however, with a launch date currently set at August 25th 2015. Both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita platforms will be supported with this release.
Set in present-day Tokyo, Steins;Gate charts the misfortune of a group of friends who, after discovering a means of sending messages back into the past, find the consequences of their actions spiraling out of control.
Developed by MAGES, 5pb, NitroPlus and the “Science Adventure Team”, Steins;Gate is the second is a line of linked stories including Chaos;Head, Robotics;Notes and Chaos;Child. There is currently no word on if PQube will ever look into licensing other instalments in the franchise.
