With a closed beta test of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT underway, Square Enix have confirmed how long it will be between this current phase of testing and the fighting game’s official launch. The heroes and antagonists from the wider Final Fantasy franchise will be brought together on the PlayStation 4 in western markets from the 30th January 2017.
Not uncommon for a Final Fantasy game, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will be available as one of several different special editions – priced between $59.99 USD and $189.99 USD – although accessibility may differ between regions.
Ultimate Collector’s Edition
For those wanting to spend big, the Ultimate Collector’s Edition is the most pricey edition coming in at $189.99 USD. Available through the Square Enix Online store, this edition comes with several items, including:
- Warrior of Light bust figure (8.25” tall)
- Official soundtrack with 15 tracks selected from the DISSIDIA series and newly recorded music
- 80-page hardback artbook
- Season Pass that gives access to six new playable characters and content post launch
- SteelBook case exclusive to this edition
- Collector’s Box
Steelbook Brawler Edition
Priced at $59.99 USD, this edition comes with one of three Steelbook cases to store your game in. Unfortunately for those who have a preference, these will seemingly be assigned randomly
Digital Collections
There will be two digital special editions available for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT – a “Digital Edition” and a “Digital Deluxe Edition”. Priced at $59.99 USD, the former will give those who pre-order from the PlayStation Store instant access to a mini-soundtrack featuring five songs from the game, in addition to the ‘Nameless Warrior’ character skin for the Warrior of Light. The Digital Deluxe Edition comes in at $84.99, and includes all the “Digital Edition” content in addition to the aforementioned season pass.
