With only a few months remaining until its sequel, Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy, is made available for purchase on the PlayStation Vita and PC – western publisher Nippon Ichi Software America have brought Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy to Steam. Available for purchase right now, this is one of Experience’s dungeon crawler RPGs, which have been a sort of annual part of NIS America’s annual line-up.
Different from a fair few of Experience’s other recent works which have been more fantasy based, Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy features a sci-fi story set in a near-future Tokyo. Taking control of their custom character, players must go up against the continual threat of Variants – genetically engineered monsters – which is growing through the appearance of portals leading to a mysterious Abyss. As part of the Xth Squad, you and your allies are tasked with investigating the labyrinth, and perhaps put an end to the Variants threat.
Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy is now available on the PC through Steam, with a standard price of $19.99 USD. There is also a Digital Soundtrack and Digital Artbook available for $4.99 apiece.
