To be available as both a standalone game and a cheaper digital upgrade for Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- on the PS3 and PS4, Aksys Games and Arc System Works have confirmed that their 2.5D brawler Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 will be available for purchase on the PlayStation 4 from May 26th 2017.
Compared to its predecessor, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 features a number of new upgrades and features. This edition comes with two new characters: Baiken and Answer, who you will be able to bring into battle on a range of new stages, against re-balanced characters who have received new moves and motions. The game also features expanded story and arcade modes, which Aksys Games claim will “shed new light on Jam, Kum, Raven, Dizzy, Answer and Baiken”.
If you are buying Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 standalone, you would be looking at the standard retail price of $39.99 USD. If you are taking the upgrade route, you will receive a $20 discount ($19.99 USD).
