Released in 2016, the digital-exclusive game Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth was in my opinion a fresh, modern take on the Digimon franchise, resulting in a game which delivered an interesting and continually developing story, solid and approachable gameplay and some good visuals to boot.
Delivering a new chapter in the series, Bandai Namco Entertainment have confirmed that development team Media.Vision are working on a second game titled Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory, which is set to arrive in western markets sometime in early 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

With DIGIMON STORY: CYBER SLEUTH – HACKER’S MEMORY you’ll follow Keisuke Amazawa, the main protagonist accused of a crime he didn’t commit, who will have to dive into the Digital World and investigate to prove his innocence, even if that means joining a group of hackers and help them to solve the troubles threatening this mysterious universe…
At crossroads between real and digital, resolve the troubles of the threatened Digital World, raise and train more than 300 different Digimons and explore a wide range of battle strategies using Digimons’ skills, compatibilities and combos.
While the game will not be receiving an English dub this time around, it will however be receiving a physical release on the PlayStation 4, along with a digital release on both the PS4 and PS Vita.
