In 2016, Microsoft Australia gave Xbox-loving onesie-wearing fashionistas the chance to own an Xbox themed onesie. Even though I never managed to nab myself one of them, I do think it was something not only distinct from a marketing and creativity perspective, but looked very chic for a night of gaming both by yourself and with others.
With the temperatures soaring Down Under and Australia Day next week, Microsoft Store Sydney have unveiled what Microsoft Australia claims is “the perfect sidekick for those Australia Day pool parties”… a Limited Edition Inflatable Xbox One S Controller.
A limited number of the pool-friendly controllers are being made available through the Microsoft Store Facebook page, with additional distribution plans set to be unveiled over the coming days. The main way to earn one at the moment is a ‘Tell Us in 25 or Less’ competition for the question “what your ideal Australia Day would be!”. According to the T&C’s (Section 9), there are 200 prizes to be won.
I think it goes without saying that this Giant Inflatable Xbox One S Controller is not compatible with any Xbox One hardware. Nevertheless, it would be pretty awesome lounging around the pool on a giant Xbox One S controller.
