Upupupu! Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony to Bring More Despair in 2017

In terms of ports, 2017 is set to be a big year for Nippon Ichi Software America. Covering the three major titles they have worked on to date, NIS America will be publishing Danganronpa 1&2 Reload (Containing Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair) on the PlayStation 4 in March, alongside a similar PlayStation 4 port of Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls at a currently unspecified date. But if you are like myself and have played through all three games in-depth, you might find yourself wanting something more substantial.

Taking the opportunity provided by PlayStation Experience (PSX), NIS America have confirmed they will be handling the localisation and publishing of Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony in North America and PAL regions on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita platforms. This is not a direct sequel to previous games, which was concluded by the recent anime. Instead, it takes place at a brand new location with an entirely new set of characters – although a certain iconic, despair-inducing bear will make his return.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony will launch in Japan next month – although no western release date has been confirmed outside of a 2017 launch window. Expect to hear more about this game in the coming months.

About Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony

Welcome to a new world of Danganronpa, and prepare yourself for the biggest, most exhilarating episode yet. Set in a “psycho-cool” environment, a new cast of 16 characters find themselves kidnapped and imprisoned in a school. Inside, some will kill, some will die, and some will be punished. Reimagine what you thought high-stakes, fast-paced investigation was as you investigate twisted murder cases and condemn your new friends to death.
