Ace Combat 7 Confirmed for 2017 Release on PlayStation 4

Developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the company have used PlayStation Experience (PSX) to confirm their plans to release the next instalment in their ‘Ace Combat’ air combat franchise during 2017. Unsurprisingly given this western release was confirmed during a Sony Interactive Entertainment event, this game is currently set to be available exclusively on the PlayStation 4.

Going by the simple title of Ace Combat 7, the development team sets out to offer “photorealistic visuals, intense dog-fighting action, a multitude of authentic and futuristic aircrafts with an immersive storyline”. The development team will also offer some degree of support for the PlayStation VR. At the moment, this support seems to be limited to “exclusive features developed specifically” for the peripheral.

Expect to hear more in the coming months, leading to Ace Combat 7’s 2017 launch. In the meantime, check out its first official English trailer above.
