Build a World Fitting of Dragon Quest in Newest Spin-Off Game

Even when Enix first began working on Dragon Quest series, each installment has generally been good at progressively constructing a fantasy world for the player to enjoy. The circumstances have shifted considerably this year however, with Square Enix announcing the release of Dragon Quest Builders in western markets on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

Reminiscent in some respects to MineCraft, players take control of a character known as the “Legendary Builder”. Through exploring the game world, gathering materials, defeating foes and crafting items – the goal is to reconstruct the ruined world of Alefgard. While you will start the game with very little, you can progressively work your way up to building homes and potentially even castles.

Dragon Quest Builders is now available for purchase on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, including Australia and New Zealand kudos of regional distributor Bandai Namco Entertainment Australia. Expect a review of this title on The Otaku’s Study in the near future.

ABOUT DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS

Generations ago, the realm of Alefgard was plunged into darkness by the terrible and treacherous Dragonlord, ruler of all monsters. Mankind was robbed of the power to build and forced to wander the ruins of their former home, scrounging and scavenging in the dust to survive.

Now it’s up to you, a Legendary Builder chosen by the Goddess herself, to return the power of creation to the people and rebuild Alefgard. Only when the wonder of imagination has been returned will mankind be able to overthrow the evil Dragonlord once and for all!

Build for fun. Build for adventure. Build to save the world!
