Back in August, Nippon Ichi Software America announced their plans to bring the PlayStation 2 / PlayStation Portable tactical RPG Disgaea 2 to PC Platforms. This follows their past port work on two other titles from their backcatalogue: Disgaea and Phantom Brave. While still in its early days, the game will be available via Steam from January 30th 2017, pending any last minute delays.
Disgaea 2 PC is set to be the “definitive edition” of the game according to NIS America, featuring content from both Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories (PS2) and Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. As something a little bit extra, this release will include Dark Eclair, Gig and Miabel as playable characters – having only been available in the Japanese version of Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories.

As you can tell, there is currently no close date mentioned for applications, nor is there any indicator of when testing may begin. However it has been confirmed that those who are selected as testers will nab themselves a free copy of the game at launch.
