Promotional Trailer Released for ‘World’s Longest 5 Minutes’

You are about to battle the final boss, the last barrier in your quest to save the world. It should be an occasion where a whole adventure of developing skills and forming precise teamwork comes into play. However there is just one small caveat standing in your way… you are suffering amnesia and don’t recall any of your experiences to date.

This is the conundrum you will face in World’s Longest 5 Minutes, a new adventure / RPG title currently in development by Nippon Ichi Software for the PlayStation Vita. The game revolves around a five minute battle against the Demon King, where the protagonist must have conversations with their allies in order to collect and relive experiences in the hope of regaining abilities. Therefore, while only five minutes may pass in-universe, there will be hours of gameplay from the flashbacks. Thus the title: “World’s Longest 5 Minutes”.

Coming in at three minutes in length, Nippon Ichi Software have shared their first major promotional trailer for the game. In its runtime, viewers are given some idea of the journey which lies ahead of them (or rather, behind them). You can view this video for yourself above.

Developed by Nippon Ichi Software, World’s Longest 5 Minutes is set for release in Japan on July 28th 2016. No international release has currently been confirmed by Nippon Ichi Software America, but it would surprise me if they passed up on this intriguing title.
